On the move, breaking through and standing tall....

This post could not wait until 7 months. Boy have so many things happened in such little time.

To start with, I was brutally sick on April 13th. I even stayed home from work, which is so unlike me. I was so sick that I couldn't move to take care of Carson so I called my mom and dad. My poor mom who can barely move because of her foot laid in bed with me and helped with Carson. I am so glad she was there.

April 13th went from a bad day to an AMAZING day. Carson has been rockin' and rollin for a couple of weeks now. Rockin' and rollin turned into movin and groovin. I hear, "he's crawling, he's crawling". Sure enough, Geoffrey and I both got to see it. Carson made his first moves! Now, we are always on the move. There is never a resting period. When you put Carson in one spot, he ends up on the other side of the room.

To think that was just enough for us, Carson decided to push it to the next limit. He was in his crib and I walked out for a moment. I come back in, granted this is all in the same day, he is standing up! AUGH! He's only 6 months old. PAUSE! PAUSE! PAUSE! Needless to say, the mattress was put a few notches down at our house and at my parents house. The photo taken of him is not from that day, but from another day since.

On Saturday, April 17th, I checked Carson before I headed out for Monique's Bachelorette Party. No tooth. I knew it had to be coming soon because he has been extra fussy, snotty and just not like himself. On Sunday, April 18th, there it was. The new tenant to his little mouth. I wasn't able to get a great photo, but this will do for now.

And the last of our news. Carson had to go to the dr today because of all the stuffiness he has had. It started last week and even after the tooth came in, it didn't go away. Good thing he went, because it was turning into an ear infection in his left ear. We were given amoxicilin and sent on our way to come back in 2 weeks for a check up. Oh! And he was weighed... 19lbs!!! Whew! I'm starting to get some guns from carrying this little man around! ha!!

Talk to you at 7 months unless he starts walking.. AUGH! knock on wood..

6 Months

6 Months Old

From his 5-6month (below)

Height: 28 inch
Weight: 17lbs 12 oz
Consistently sleeps through the night.
Food: Eats like a horse. This boy can eat!! Loves his solids.
We've moved on to stage 2 foods now.

We celebrated Carson's first Easter at Nannie and Poppa's.

Carson was so spoiled, it was like Christmas. Mommy and Daddy bought Carson a little steering wheel toy and a tool bench. He loves the little steering wheel the best. We get a kick out of it because he actual steers it.

Uncle Joey spoiled Carson beyond belief. He filled Carson's toy box with tons of fun toys to play with. Thanks Uncle Joey!!

Nannie and Poppa got Carson an adorable outfit for the pool (which we can't wait for it to warm up)

The Bufalos and Miss Cathy took care of their favorite little boy. Carson's very first ducky Easter basket and books and clothes!

And...Jeanie and David bought Carson his very own, Scout! It is awesome. It says, "Hello, Carson", "I love you Carson",etc. He loves this dog. His eyes open up so big when the dog says his name.

This is one loved little boy!





From the fifth to the sixth month, we really didn't have too much of a change.

He has perfected sitting up, we really don't use the Bumbo anymore.

He is a professional belly sleeper, as he rolls onto his belly as soon as he gets on his back.

Big news! He had his first sleep over with Nannie and Poppa. He did great (and so did Mommy and Daddy).

Bigger news! He is doing everything in his power to crawl. He gets up on his hands and knees, rocks back and forth and then down. A couple of times he has moved an arm or a knee forward, but then down. I feel like any day now he is going to come crawling around the corner.

Babbling, tons!! From the moment he wakes up in the morning its, ba ba da ba, etc. in all different tones. I just love it.

It's hard to believe it has been 6 months that we have been blessed with the most amazing baby boy. He has brought so much joy to our lives. He has opened our eyes to what is important and closed them to the unimportant. Our world revolves around him. Every morning is like Christmas. God is amazing. So completely blessed. 100%

Happy Passover

Who found the Afikomen?? Carson did, not really, but that's what his bib says!!

Carson celebrated his first Seder at the Jonas Family Passover, which his Mommy has attended for over 10 years!! He was the youngest one at the table. He had a seat at the end of the table with Mommy and Daddy and watched everyone in awe. Passover at the Jonas house is not your typical Passover. It is soo much fun and very educational! There is singing, tambourines, a goody bag with the 10 plagues, delicious food,wine and GREAT company.

Carson even participated by gnawing on his vegetable in salt water (cucumber) and eating his pureed carrots. Such a good participant.

I even made my first dish for the Seder. I made Peach Farfal. I must say, it was quite delicious!!

One of the ten plagues is the boils. We put the stickers all over to represent the boils. He had no choice.. hehe

After all the fun, games, food and laughs, Carson was pooped! No better place to sleep then on the shoulder of your Daddy..

My Little Skipper

On Sunday, March 28, 2010, Carson became the little boater we knew he would be. We decided to just cruise the intercoastal, Carson definately is not ready to cruise the Atlantic yet. Packing for the boat wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I can't wait for it to be warm so we can get him in the water.

The Morgan Family joined us on the boat and we are so glad they were able to come. Uncle Jeremy came along as well for Carson's first boat ride.

We went to Bahia Cabana for a nice relaxing lunch. Enjoyed Rum Runners and Bloody Mary's and Carson slept the entire way there. He was in his comfort zone. He remembered the swaying of the boat from Mommy's belly.

After lunch, we cruised the intercoastal and headed to Whiskey Creek at John U. Lloyd State Park. Carson was wide awake for this ride and I think he thoroughly enjoyed the view, from a "darker" view with his shades on.

He even got to stand up with the boys and look over the side.

Driving must have been the best part of the day. He is so little, he put his feet on the bottom of the steering wheel and held on the top. As Daddy steered the boat, Carson just went side to side with him. It was hysterical. He's a natural, ready to go boating with Daddy and the boys.

At Whiskey Creek, we let the boys play in the freezing water and exert their pent up energy. They were so good on the boat. When I asked the boys if the water was cold, they replied with shivering, blue lips, "Nooooooooo". Having Travis and Chase there, reminded me how much fun boys are. Makes me even more excited for the future with our little man.

To end our wonderful day, we took Carson to the beach at John U. Lloyd. I sat him on the towel, but that didn't last long. He pulled the towel up and reached for the sides, going straight for the sand. I watched his hand dig into the sand and then straight towards the mouth with an interception by Mommy. Beach days this summer are going to be interesting.

5 Months Old

New album: Carson 5 months and new photos in Amazing Newborn.

So I am finally getting around to Carson's 5 month blog post. We have been so busy lately and I just haven't gotten a chance to get on here.

Weight: 16lbs 12 oz - 61st percentile
Height: 27 inch long - 90th percentile
Sleeps from 8/830 until about 700. I love it!

Foods: We've had them all.. Peas, Sweet Potatoes, Squash, green beans, carrots, bananas, pears, peaches.
Not a fan of green beans, but does very well with everything else. He is such a good eater.

From 4-5 months, we celebrated Mommy's 29th birthday, Daddy's 30th Birthday and Valentines Day.

Carson did very well at his 5 Month check up. Dr. Morrison even gave him the "advanced stamp". Carson was sitting up on the table for the dr to check his ears, eyes and mouth. He said most 5 month olds aren't sitting up on their own as well as he is. Also, he was impressed that Carson has mastered rolling over in both directions. He said we may want to consider lowering the crib mattress soon. I told him the other day, Carson was sitting in the pack n play while I was getting ready and he was sitting up and he grabbed the side and pulled himself over. I told him how our house isn't baby proofed yet and he said that is definately something we may want to start doing, as Carson may be mobile very soon.

He got his polio vaccine at his 03/09 appointment. He did very well, gave a little whine and that was all. Thank goodness because last time was torture for Carson , Geoff and I.

Teeth: He didn't see anything, just the two little white bulbs on his gums. Said he doesn't expect teeth right now, but maybe by 6 months. Once he gets his first tooth, we are to start using flouride water when making his bottles, i.e., Nursery water or we can use tap water.

I told him that we switched over to Costco brand formula and he said that is perfectly fine, its all the same.

On to the next month..Can't believe he is going to be 6 months old.. Crazy how time flies..
